On the final day of COP29, the world's most prominent climate event, the Blue Zone, will witness the announcement of the final agreement. This agreement will include the new collective quantitative goal for climate finance, following a deal reached by the 198 parties.

Green Zone Events

The Green Zone kicks off the final day of COP29 by organizing a one-hour breathing session for attendees. The session will help attendees connect with nature and themselves through the Wim Hof method, thereby deepening their commitment to environmental and personal transformation. A welcoming and opening session follows to discuss the day's topics and activities.

African youth for climate

The region will witness a discussion session on the status of African youth amidst climate change, highlighting the lessons learned from the CorpsAfrica Green initiative, which is pioneering the promotion of social entrepreneurship and community development across Africa. The session will focus on sharing the transformative stories of CorpsAfrica volunteers, who are young Africans and rural women at the forefront of climate action through the initiative across 10 African countries, working to empower rural communities to build resilience against climate change.

In another discussion session, the Green Zone will aim to empower young people to actively participate in the implementation of climate and biodiversity frameworks.

The Green Generation

In a session titled "The Green Generation: Developing Environmental Awareness Across Generations," COP29 will aim to conduct a reflective and inspiring conversation about fostering environmental awareness across generations through the Green Generation initiative as a case study.

By highlighting the inspiring and innovative projects led by young people, the session will pave the way for intergenerational cooperation, rally support for ongoing initiatives, and expand their scope.
