To lead the world toward a more sustainable future, Emirati state-owned Masdar for renewables will host on Tuesday the World Future Energy Summit 2025, a premier event focused on clean energy and sustainability, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

Spanning three days, attendees will engage in high-level discussions and have the opportunity to explore the latest innovative products, contributing to the global movement toward sustainability.

The summit will run until January 16 as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, and it has seen a remarkable 25% increase in visitor registration, further solidifying its role as a leading platform for global cooperation, innovation, and action. Ministers and policymakers in the energy sector will review their plans for transforming the energy sector and promoting circular economies.

The World Future Energy Summit 2025 is situated in a region committed to energy transformation, prioritizing alternatives such as solar energy. It is expected to attract more than 30,000 participants, including government officials, sector leaders, and sustainability pioneers from around the globe.

The event will showcase the latest developments in renewable energy, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence, climate technology, circular economy principles, green finance, and sustainable cities.

Notable speakers will include Sharif Al-Olama, the Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure; Abdelmuti Ahmed, the Head of Energy Strategies and Policies; and Ahmed Al Shamsi, a mechanical engineer at the Water Resources Department, all representing the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. Other prominent speakers include Heiko Seitz, the Global eMobility Leader at PwC; Fadi Comair, the Director of Energy, Environment, Water and Research Centre (EEWRC); Nadia Rouchdy, the Head of Climate at Emirates Nature-WWF; and Ghiwa Nakat, Executive Director of Greenpeace MENA.

This year’s agenda emphasizes the enormous potential of artificial intelligence (AI), with sessions dedicated to how AI can enhance efficiency, secure supply chains, and reduce emissions in the energy sector. Discussions will also address the challenges of climate change, water and waste management, and smart city development, including the application of real-time AI to improve urban traffic management. Presentations will feature a pioneering case study on autonomous drilling operations that saved $500 million and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by one million tons by 2023.

The World Future Energy Summit 2025 will offer a packed program of interactive exhibitions and networking opportunities, featuring over 400 exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions in the energy, water, and waste management sectors. The event will cover seven main tracks encompassing all aspects of the energy system and allow visitors, delegations, and exhibitors to gain in-depth insights into the latest developments and trends in various fields, including the Solar and Clean Energy Exhibition and Conference, the Water Conference, the EcoWASTE Exhibition, the Sustainable Cities Summit, the Sustainable Finance Conference, the Future Transport Forum, and the Roadmap 1.5°C conference.

Additionally, the Climate Innovation Exchange (CLIX) will highlight pioneering sustainability solutions presented by women from more than 12 countries across the Americas, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and Africa, along with the CLIXai event. These initiatives are part of the summit’s Innovation Track, which also includes the Green Hydrogen Innovation Center and the Clean Technology Exhibition.

Participants will have access to specialized sessions on vital topics such as water security, green financing, and strategies for achieving carbon neutrality, while also having opportunities to interact directly with experts and influential figures in the fields of renewable energy, clean technology, and policymaking.
